The perfect parenting style

As a child behvavioral therapist in profession and mother of 2 small chidren, I have read many books on parenting. This by far is, in my opinion, the ideal parenting style. I have been implementing it in my life for only a few month now and can already see the effects win my 3 year old. however I do not believe that these practices can be well implemented until a child is around 3 years old because of their ability to understand simple concepts.

I did actually think I knew what I was doing -- then I had my third child and discovered that I really don't know much. Thank goodness for Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood.

Authors Jim and Charles Fay identify some common behavioral problems and are able to see to the heart of the matter, to explain what the real problems are. They offer a step-by-step plan for eliminating problem behaviors -- and this step-by-step plan is not only easy but also pleasant, both for children and their parents.

Love the Love and Logic magic

This book has helped immensely and I have now given it as a gift and referenced it multiple times. Even though I have child development in my educational background and can give advice to any parent, it's different when it's my own.

Simple and Effective

I checked this book out from the library while I was pregnant with my daughter and knew this was a method that would work for me so I purchased it here. I have been using these techniques since she was little bitty and continue to use them as she grows into a toddler. What I like about it:
*You can implement the steps easily before you finish the entire book.
*It works at any age. It even works on adults!
*You will be proud of your child, even a 15 month old.
*You limit the amount of blah blah blah that comes out of your mouth
*You teach your child how to make choices.
*You prepare them for the world not just your living room.
I will not be purchasing any other books about parenting, this is the only one I need.

When I got this book I didn't really know what to expect! Some of my friends had recommended it for us, so we decided to try it out! We are SOO amazed w/ how well my 2yr old son has adapted to it! We rarely yell at him now...There are days when we "forget" the Love and Logic, but we are pretty much for the most part fully there...Even our son...He DOES have his relapses--He's only 2--But he's doing great on this!!!
