Great everyday coffee maker!

This is an excellent coffee maker. I had read most of the reviews prior to puchasing this on Amazon.com and I am very pleased with it! I have not experienced any of the plastic taste that others have complained about and I guess that the taste of the coffee that is used is how some review the coffee maker. I tried the Senseo pods in the variety pack and have found that one pod is good for a 7oz. cup, while 2 pods are good for the 9 & 14oz cups. Also included with the maker are three pod holders- 1 for 1 pod, 1 for 2pods, and a creamy pod holder. It is very easy to clean and the Senseo pods work and taste great!! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quick cup of coffee (about one minute brew time). The downside is the noise it makes, but it is so brief, that it should not turn you away from this!

No More Plastic Taste

I picked up this machine last month at my town Big Lots store for $17.99 (what a deal!). Before I paid for the machine I looked at the reviews right from my cell phone and I read lots of complaints about a funny plastic taste, because of the price I decided to give it a try. Once I got home I primed the machine following the instructions that came with it, and after brewing my first cup I almost spit it!! Disgusting plastic taste that ruined my French Vanilla flavored coffee. The next morning I brew another cup and the same, later I discovered that leaving the pod on the machine right after brewing my cup of coffee solved the problem. I did it for one week, brew the coffee in the morning before going to work and left the pod in the machine instead of disposing it right after, I'll leave the pod on the machine all day and remove after I returned from work. I guess that the coffee aroma stuck to the plastics parts on the machine, who knows!! Now I am enjoying the best coffee ever.

GT300 Good value

We had a previous Black and Decker Home Cafe coffeemaker. An electrical surge knocked out the previous version. So we purchased the GT300 model from Amazon. The new model is so much better in that there is now a stop button and easier close of the top than before. The only complaints we have are: the stop button does work as advertised but you have to wait on the three beeps before you can do anything else with the coffeemaker. The other issue we have now is that we liked using our own coffee so we purchased for the previous model a pod maker from Presto. It worked great. However the new model doesn't work with the old maker so we are once again looking for a way to use our own coffee. Other than that, I would highly recommend this model to anybody who is looking for a quick cup of coffee without a lot of fuss.
