Why didn't I think of that?
The Vital Smarts Team provides another great book on how to collaborate and work with others. Choosing vital behaviors and telling a story easily convey how to communicate with Gen A-Z.
New techniques for changing behavior
This book is a joy, and, as the authors no doubt intended, an inspiration. Often, those who try to create
change
over the long term give up and become resigned to the way things are. Into this stable situation come five authors - Kerry Patterson, Joseph Grenny, David Maxfield, Ron McMillan and Al Switzler - full of optimism, examples and, best of all, practical techniques you can use right away to create change. It would be easy to say the book is too optimistic, or that it claims too much is possible, but some of its examples show the success of sweeping, ambitious changes. Instead of clinging to a dour but "realistic" view of the world, they invite you to re-examine your influence strategies and analyze your environment for new clues, whether you are trying to change yourself or your employees. The social possibilities are exciting. We recommend this book to anyone who is trying to create social change, and especially people who are open-minded and at ease with new ideas.

The Significance and Power of One Person
We all wrestle with what matters most in our own lives and those of our loved ones--how to insure that we live long and prosper. Many of us also struggle with how to help others discover health, happiness, and even significance. The desire to save the planet is innate; our very own survival depends on it. This book gives us step-by-step procedures we can all learn to induce
change
in ourselves and others for the right reasons, not through cold-hearted manipulation. This is a must read for anyone dedicated to being or becoming a change agent. The stories it tells of change agent successes throughout the world among different countries and cultures are beyond inspirational because they are real stories of long lasting positive transformations where everyone benefitted.

Good book but need to change it up a bit.....
Good book with a good system which takes you through the different steps required in influencing. The one negative is they seem to draw on the same examples over and over again. Sometimes it is hard to tell what the difference is between the various sections. It does get the message across that you can influence anyone to do
anything
. It also helps lead you into a direction so it is a pretty decent book.
I liked the last part of the book where they gave an example in corporate America where they went in and
change
d attitudes and behaviors. I would have liked another few examples like this throughout the book.
