Great training help
This is an excellent book and no doubt useful for anybody (no, you don't have to be a professional bodybuilder to like this) interested in
strength
training
. It illustrates different work outs for all your different body parts. And with those nice diagrams you can see exactly which muscle group your targeting. To me this is very motivational and always gets me to work out more!
Strength Training Anatomy

New Second Edition Even More Helpful!
I have the original first edition of this title, and I continue to refer to it for fun and inspiration. This second edition, however, has a few extra pages on common sports injuries associated with the various body parts worked, which is excellent. Unfortunately, everything is done is an "overview" manner so further details will require reference to another text. However, as the introductory book to
strength
training
and weight-lifting that this is clearly intended to be, it is quite excellent, and now all the more so by giving some attention to the topic of sports injuries. They should hand copies of this book out at every gym!!

So simple
This book explains with the help of diagrams which muscles will develop when you do what and what not to do to get yourself hurt . This book focuses primarily on the
anatomy
which is what one needs understand if one is serious abt
strength
training
.
Old edition
The first edition of this book (ISBN# 0736041850) was replaced in December of 2005 by a new edition (ISBN# 0736063684) which includes a number of enhancements, including information on injuries common to
strength
trainers/weight lifters.
Amazon has taken to periodically substituting the old edition for the new one in their sales rankings.
Both editions rate 5 stars, but the current edition is the one you want.
