LIVE EACH DAY AS IF IT IS YOUR LAST; ONE DAY IT WILL BE.

First of all I loved this movie. When I heard Sarah McLachlan's song "Angel", I knew I was buying the soundtrack. I love the entire CD. My least favorites are John Lee Hooker's and Eric Clapton's songs; however, with the Great Jimi Hendrix on there, he makes them fit in. I do agree with another reviewer about Eric Clapton, his song should have been "Tears in Heaven!"

My favorites are: "Angel", "Feeling Love", all of Gabriel Yared's 4 songs at the end, "Uninvited", "Iris", "If God will send His angels"...each and every song on the CD is awe inspiring! I think some of these artists must have experienced OBE'S and/or NDE'S (out of body and/or near death experiences) because they have taken their music to a higher level than most.

I have to admit I think the CD would be better without JL Hooker's track, and replacing Eric Clapton's track with "Tears in Heaven." I would really like to give it 4 1/2 stars but since I can't I will round up to 5.

Best soundtrack I know of

Yes, I will be willing to go as far as say this is the best soundtrack EVER. It includes songs that aare perfectly amazing. I love Alanis Morissette, Goo Goo Dolls, Sarah McLachlan, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton, and lucky for me, they all appear on one CD. The previously unreleased "Uninvited" is for sure some of Alanis Morissette's best work (being a HUGE Alanis fan) and my favorite song on the soundtrack. John Lee Hooker's "Mamam You Got a Daughter" is a very original blues song that is fun to listen to and sing with. Sarah McLachlan and Goo Goo Dolls both have songs that surpass all others that I've ever hears. And Gabriel Yared's instrumentals are perfect for the CD. Above all I don't think that anything is better than this soundtrack. A wonderful variety of music.

Truly Angelic

A delicious combination of rock, blues, classical score, and a haunting contribution from Alanis which falls into no category, this OST is simply the best I've ever heard. The main attractions here are without doubt the Goo Goo Doll's Iris, a cutting and melancholic arrangement of drums, strings, and Johnny Rzeznik's whispery voice; Sarah M's equally saddening Angel, and tracks from Jude and Peter Gabriel. Having said that, every single song on this album, without exception, satisfies.

Paula Cole - oooh, baby!

Talk about red hot. My wife bought this CD after we saw the movie. If you like melodrama (and we do) it's a great movie & CD. BUT - guys - you will play the Paula Cole tune over and over until your significant other screams "Enough Already!"

Good songs for a bad movie.

I bought this because I'm a huge fan of U2 and want everything that they touch. Their track is great (of course). But also good are Alanis Morissette, Jimi Hendrix, and The Goo Goo Dolls. "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan is good if you're in a sad mood. The other tracks really don't belong, like Eric Clapton and John Lee Hooker. The rock is good but the blues is not. Buy this for U2 and Alanis and skip the movie that it comes from!
