This book is so excellent. While it might seem overwhelming...you just take the info you need to apply to your life and there you go! I loved this book. The cleaning schedules have made my life so much easier. Also, the info on how long things stay good in fridge/freezer is great. Thank you Martha Stewart!

Reminds me of "Home Comforts" by Cheryl Mendelson but, differs enough to make this a reference that you must have. Martha has her own unique view and I appreciate the research and thoughtfulness she tries to make clear in this world of 10,000 products to do the same thing, just what we are trying to accomplish in our own lifestyle. It gives you focus on what is really important to your family.

What a great book to get you organized. It includes common sense tips in a very easy to use manner. I wish I would of had it years ago.

Got this for my sister for her Bridal Shower. She loved it! I want one for myself. From countertops to the septic system, this book tells you how to care for your entire home. We are building a house and I found it so helpful in choosing everything from flooring to cleaning supplies. What I loved the most about the book was the cleaning schedules, organized by daily, weekly, monthly and seasonally. If you've ever wondered how often your supposed to clean your dryer vent this is the book for you. I think this book is an investment that will pay for itself.
