Belly Laughs

Ok, these guys must have been smoking something as they were writing this book because it is way to funny! Though it is cover -to- cover, tear - jerking laughs, it is also laced with some profound truth. Excellent!

Quite entertaining

I have not read the entire book, but have seen lots of funny things in it. It was a gift for my daughter, a big Stephen Cobert fan and republican. My dad picked it up and laughed a lot. He's a big time democrat. Something for everyone.

Hilarious!

Just when you feel the level of irony and dry wit can't get any deeper, Stewart does one better. He is an equal-opportunity lambaster, although finding greater opportunity in those who provide it. Stewart takes parody to whole new levels, as he parodies the self-parodies of other people's parodies of real life fictional heroes. As he predicted, I believe I have become quite the annoying office-mate, quoting continuously from this book. It is at least three laughs per page. Sometimes even a chuckle. Don't forget to read the last few pages- it looks like the book ends a couple times before it truly does.

Yes, sometimes too far; I was really not expecting actual porn in the book, and had no wish to view it. Other than that, a must read. It's the funniest book I've read this day.

Shock & Awe shucks....

I have always found Jon's commentaries entertaining and informative. as such, I was looking for something with a comedic edge to make history more interesting for kids/ students. There are some interesting elements/slants on historical events in the "text" but I was disturbed by the profanity. As a result I won't leave it lying around for kids to pick up and read themselves. That is the shucks part!
The layout is hard to follow with all the side notes, crossouts, etc..
but, that is just my opinion. Iget the jist of it.
