Can't Wait to Read the Next One
This is a departure from the Legions of Rome for Simon Scarrow, but he has proved that he is not a one trick pony by coming up with another excellent read although he has moved through history by almost 2,000 years. Set in late 18th century Europe, the book follows ...

After You'd Gone
Maggie O'Farrell
Headline Review, 2001
Interesting....but left me hanging
I liked this book. Each chapter jumps from present day to past events leading to this unknown horrible event that you are reminded of in every chapter but you don't know what it is. I liked the book but I only gave it 3 stars b/cs I didn't like the ending.
To the Nines (Stephanie Plum, No. 9)
Janet Evanovich

A Superb Must Read
There are few authors who continue to provide strong plots and great, long lasting characters after their first few novels. Fortunately for fans, Janet Evanovich knows how to deliver. Stephanie Plum, Jersey's wild and outrageous bounty hunter returns in the ninth novel ...

The Distance Between Us
Maggie O'Farrell
Headline Review, 2005
Why, oh why, go soft on us now?
I'm a fan of Maggie O'Farrell's and was really looking forward to reading this. O'Farrell has always been about love, but love with a twist of melancholy. In this book, classic romance creeps in a big way and ... for me, part the thrill has gone [soft] for it. The ...

Can't wait for the next one
Having waited for this one after finishing Young Bloods I pounced upon it when it eventually arrived and devoured it pretty quickly. It is an entertaining and fast paced book with great flair and interest for the lover of historical fiction. It would certainly have ...
The One You Really Want
Jill Mansell
Headline Review, 2005
Light Summer Read
I have read all of Jill Mansell's books, and I have to say this is one of her better. Light, frothy, and surprisingly compulsive, this is a great summer read. The characters are all likeable, the plot isn't at all challenging, and the ends are all a bit too neatly ...
