A Better Mousetrap
I once had a very hard time catching a mouse. This book suggests a better way. Read it and see. Of course, that's not the main point of L.A. Outlaws. It centers on Suzanne Jones/Allison Murietta. Suzanne is an eighth grade history teacher. She's the loving mother of ...

Summer of Fear by T. Jefferson Parker
I have read almost of all of T. Jefferson Parkers book, and he is one of the best authors around. THIS book was my favorite however, because there are two stories going on at once and they are both fascinating. The first is a crime writer who's wife if dying, literally ...

Left Me Breathless
A very disturbing serial killer is on the loose in Orange County, California. But that isn't what drew me into this story. It was the characters Parker has developed here. Tim Hess is an older detective who comes out of retirement to work this case while at the same ...

Tina
I previously bought all the preceding series and this was outstanding just like the others. T. Jefferson Parker should write more books with detective Merci Rayborn's character. Very interesting storylines.
Where Serpents Lie

Darker Parker......
I first discovered T. Jefferson Parker in Silent Joe, a carefully crafted and intriguing story with a twist. Joe, a sweet man with a damaged face, is one of Parker's great heroes. Naughton, in Where Serpents Lie, is another. He's a self-acknowledged flawed ...

Control of weather mystery
Matt Stromsoe and Mike Tavarez were the best of friends in high school. They marched in the band at the same time although Stromsoe was the Drum Major in their late years of school. Both boys loved Hallie, but Mike ended up winning her in marriage, which disappointed ...

Move over Joseph Wambaugh!!!
In T. Jefferson Parker's newest novel, The Fallen, Robbie Brownlaw is a Homicide Detective for the San Diego Police Department. He's known to most of the city as the "Falling Detective" because he was thrown out of a six-story hotel window when trying to save someone ...

A must read for this author
Parker delivers a truly mesmerizing book and one of the very best I've read in this entire genre (SoCal, mystery, fiction). He is so right on point with his interwoven storylines and satisfying plot/setting/characters, with the last 50 pages or so being such an ...
Laguna Heat

Great Debut!
I really enjoyed Laguna Heat. T. Jefferson Parker knows Orange County, where I've lived forever. This book has a top of the line story, great characters, and a real ambience. I am slowly reading through all of Parker's titles. I expect to be thoroughly entertained ...
The Renegades
T. Jefferson Parker
Dutton Adult
, 2009
Deputy Sheriff Charlie Hood?the hero of L.A. Outlaws ?left readers clamoring for more, and in The Renegades , T. Jefferson Parker more than delivers. Some say that outlaws no longer exist, that the true spirit of the American West died with the legendary bandits of pulp novels and bedtime stories. Charlie Hood knows that nothing could be ...
Twentynine Palms: A True Story of Muder, Marines, and the Mojave

This Is A True Crime Classic
I stumbled across this long string of customer reviews, so I started reading them because I read this book when it first came out. It's difficult to be objective about your own home town or somewhere you lived and know well. But some of the negative comments here are ...

I loved this book (and I normally don't read short stories)
I loved this book too, as I see others have, and this prompted me to write a review. I have tried to give it as a gift whenever possible and will continue to do so, as I think it is a great idea to benefit CAC. I wish local bookstores would display it more ...

A surprising hit
As a reader of all T. Jefferson Parker's novels, I held back on buying and reading this one for some time, but since I enjoyed his other books I gave this a try. Boy was I happy! For me this was definetly the sleeper hit for T. Jefferson Parker. The excitement and ...

Excellent book
A wonderfully written novel. It has just the right amount of hard-boiled dialouge. Highly recommended.
Silent Joe

It is indeed Parker's best (of the lst 12 titles)
This is the 12th Parker I've read (in publication chronological order) and while I would the previous titles 4, 4.5 or 5 stars. This is definitely a 5-star, and Parker's best. Read the Kent Braithwaite review on this book, and you have my feelings.
